Levin Ginsburg’s Corporate and Business Group represents domestic and international companies, including family businesses, closely held businesses, limited liability companies, limited and general partnerships, and other business entities in a wide range of manufacturing, distribution, insurance, and service industries. We represent businesses throughout their life cycle, from start-up to maturity. Our broad experience includes business structure and formation, mergers, acquisitions, and sales of businesses, joint ventures, private securities offerings, corporate governance and stockholder issues, ownership and management succession planning, leveraged buyouts, venture capital, and corporate finance.

Our Corporate and Business Group often serves as “general counsel,” assisting clients with significant transactional matters and advising them in connection with a broad range of day-to-day business matters, including employee relations and human resources, litigation management and dispute resolution, insurance-related issues, deferred compensation planning, and the drafting and negotiation of a wide variety of other commercial contracts, including leases, license agreements, finance agreements, employment agreements, shareholder and membership agreements, supply agreements, and purchase order contracts.

Every day new risks emerge concerning the protection and security of sensitive data.    Our Corporate and Business Group advises businesses in a wide range of industries on all aspects of data privacy and security.  We frequently counsel clients regarding new and emerging areas of privacy law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other consumer data protection laws.
