Experience
Reas has been a commercial litigator since his 2005 admission to the Illinois Bar. He primarily represents businesses in real estate, construction, and contract disputes. Reas is also an experienced class action attorney, having represented clients in several cases involving business torts.
Reas represents clients in all phases of litigation, handling trials, appeals, arbitrations, and mediations. This wide-ranging experience includes successfully defending a Fortune 500 financial institution before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, obtaining summary judgment for a shopping center owner’s enforcement of a purchase-sale agreement, and favorably resolving a property developer’s construction claims involving three multi-unit residential buildings.
Reas litigates cases throughout Illinois, and his appellate experience includes successfully briefing and arguing more than two dozen appeals in state and federal appellate courts.
